algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to create a weave definition that will create a weave that can be applied to any surface within reason. I have subdivided the surface exploded the points and I'm trying to push them on the z axis and copy them to create a weave on the surface. This is as far as I got. Does anyone have any suggestions. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. I have attached an image of what I'm trying to produce.

Hi Matthew,

Maybe you could use the Eval to take the place of the Z axis.

I think it will be more suit for any surfaces.
Skywoolf,
Here is my progress. I'm able to create the weave from the points below the z axis and above by interpolating the offset points but I'm trying to get the definition to interpolate over a set of points that skip every other one so it is a clean weave.

Giulio has done some work you might find relevant.

Thanks Taz. Very nice. Exactly what I was looking for.

Dear Alireza,

Can your surface be anything? I mean even a simple sphere would work in your algorithm? Or the sphere should be made by the help of the NURBS?
