Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I have been trying to use curves as a repel charge to create voids through

solid shapes.

I've been experimenting with vector fields via trying to break the solid and curves up into points, then creating charges on the points on the curve but to no avail.

Sorry for the silly question, I'm quite new to grasshopper and cant find the same question anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

hi,

if i understand correctly, you want to create holes along the curves into a volume?

then i guess you might create a negative geometry and then apply a boolean difference (or some equivalent intersection).

or - a more sophisticated solution - use some geometry wrapper. for example the one that comes with millipede or use david stasiuk's marching cubes example as a departure point.

but maybe there is also another solution that i'm not yet aware of.

Sorry,

Just to clarify, I should have put this in earlier.

This is what basically what I'm aiming for ([FORMul[a]RCH]'s surface bridging), but with one solid volume and not two planes, with the voids being created by curves which instersect through it somehow creating a repel.
