Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,  I am attempting to create surfaces from a network of lines.  NetworkSrf is prompting me to individually select surface boundaries because of the amount of lines.  I am wondering if there is a definition which could streamline the creation of surfaces.

 Thank you.

Are those lines just all in a flat plane? If so there are much simpler ways to achieve the end result.

NetworkSrf won't work in any case I think, because those line are not in a rectangular grid. If the surface you are after is curved, perhaps try Patch?

Thanks for the reply.

The lines are on a flat plane.  i will try Patch command and get back with the result

Why not post your lines in a GH or Rhino file?  David suggested 'Patch' if they are planar; since they are not, I'd love to see what he has in mind?

OOPS!  Got that exactly backwards - meant to say...

This might do the trick for you, if you're trying to split out a bunch of planar curves into individual cells: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/profiles/blogs/closed-curve-intersecti...

I tried out your definition by first disconnecting the curves component and then selecting the curves and my computer crashed.  I need to update drivers and once I do that i'll try it again.

thanks!
