Creating panels from projected lines on a lofted surface

Hello,

First of all, I would like to note that I am new to grasshopper.

I have been struggling with this patch for a while now. 

What I'm trying to do is create panels on a lofted surfaces out of a projected "bird's nest" projected. I am trying to create a birds nest structure with a perforations between its "structure".  

I want to divide the surface into cells which i can then perforate (offset) according to an image sampler. 

I have first drawn the lines and then projected them on a surface but I cannot seem to figure out how to create cells or identify 4 point surfaces out of the curves projected.

i have tried several different methods, they are all shown in the (messy) patch.
