Creating my own GH plugin, HELP!

Hi guys ,

Currently im trying to write a GH plugin (in c# using visual studio) but it's really hard to find a tutorial or references to start. i found some really old pdf from ben sitler about starting a project in visual studio but the code is obsolete.

i have experience in vb.net and c# but i need to learn about specific GH SDk stuff.

does anyone can give me some help?

In grasshopper > help > download sdk help

There is a really good description on how to set up visual studio project, and then create a component.

thank you , it was really helpful , actually i finished a couple if custom components already (c#).

Now i'm trying to create custom icons for the components, do you have a sample code to do it or a reference to look , because on the sdk is not very clear.
