Creating columns based on 2 points on a surface

Hi everyone,

I'm really struggling with this one and I'm relatively new to Grasshopper though I do have skills in VB.net. I have created a curved roof using Grasshopper (see screenshot 1.png) and now I am wanting to use grasshopper to plot a point on this surface and a point on the floor of the roof to create a column between, I have sketched a simple example of what I am after (2.png, sorry for the poor quality). I will want to create a few of these columns within the roof. The idea is that if the roof is moved/re-designed that by applying a point to the roof and floor the column will react dynamically to these changes

Also I will want to create a ramp that follows the flow of the inner surface to create a walkway for people to walk from the ground level to a second floor, again this will use the concept of creating points on the surface to create the ramp from, unless there is a better way to do this?

Any help greatly appreciated

Here the the columns project from the floor and adjust to the roof surface but the column location points could just as easily be on the roof surface and the columns could be projected down to the floor.

Norton Security has indicated that your linked page above is a security threat.  Not sure what to make of that but thought it should be noted.
