algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
So I am working a project for school, and I created a definition that has outputs a BREP tower. Now I would like to clad the skin of the tower however the only way I know how to make a skin is starting with a surface. Is there a way to extract the surface information from the brep? If not is there any alternative to manipulating the surface of the brep?

use explode brep component and extract the faces (surfaces).
Ok this works for a polygonal object but what happens when the surfaces are not easily defined by rectangles or polygonal shapes?
explode work with all breps... then you need to select the face(s) that you want/need to work with it (use list item or similar).
by the way your 3dm file has a lot of duplicate faces.
Yeah I know I am not sure how to clean this thing up. Maybe you can help me. Here is the Grass hopper file I used to create it. It looks how I want it to look but I know that there probably is a better way to do this.
