I have 5 distinct lines and I need to put them all together to create a surface. How is this possible?

To paraphrase: "I have five distinct circles and I need to put them all together to create a cylinder.  How is this possible?"

Get it?  Not nearly enough information to work with, is it?  And it might not be possible at all.

'loft' command.

It's more like this.

I have 4 separate curves. They come together to form a polygon.

How do I now refer to them as just one curve, which is the polygon itself. Instead of treating it as 4 separate entities.

Join Curves?

Will try it out.

Thanks.
