can anyone tell me how to create a mesh
with the created points, within grasshopper.

thanks

Hi

this is not possible without special algorithms like marching cube

you can try meshfrompoints inside rhino

mesh from points always gives me odd broken meshes? Am I doing something wrong?

with MeshfromPoints you have to play around, also with the pointcount and the settings

I've tried for so long, everytime it is a strange broken mesh. Is there a better option to doing this whether it be a scripted component or directly in grasshopper itself? Or someone explaining their exact resolution of this step by step. Thanks.

there is no better way,.... in the end a isosurfaces aren't useful to work further on

the best way, if you want a clean mesh, you have to model it from scratch somewhere else or with t-splines in rhino

I figured as much. Its to bad because systems such as this or projects from emergent I know are largely based in maya modeling. It just seems their projects could gain more validity if a more mathematical and algorithmic program like GH was creating them. Rather then them being manually manufactured. Thanks again.

hei,

did you try this little thing? http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/meshfrompoints-1

tudor

I tried to use it but it needs meshforpoints for Rhino first, how can I have that?

hi,

thanks to you.

thomas, i knew about meshfrompoints inside rhino.

thanks anyway.

tudor, the stuff is well. (:
