create mesh by deleting surfaces

Hello, 

I am trying to do something new with grasshopper and don't know what the best way to do it would be. I have a bunch of surfaces that I split up from a larger surface (in total, several thousand surfaces). I wan to delete every other surface, or every third surface in order to create a mesh. 

Can this be done easily with grasshopper - how can I go about starting to think it through.
