algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all,

I am currently trying to create something like the landings of a staircase, not exactly what I am doing, but it occurred to me that its the same logic.

The idea is to create these landings within any given slope, (as longs as its inside the triangle then its ok) and control the length of these landings, the quantity and their position the the slope. The rest of the steps follows ratio of 1:1.

I have been downloading many staircase definitions with landings and studying them, I managed to create one from these, but it does not exactly suit my needs.

See, in this first definition, I set the amount of steps before a landing, and so when I set many steps the landing surpasses the slope line, which cannot happen.

The second definition I started working on is pretty much limited, when I move the start point for example, the steps do not adapt. I am failing to see the connections need to make this parametric.

Both defs are attached in the same file. Thanks for any help.
