algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello,
I've been using a crv motive, repeated using an rectangular array, so i get a frieze.
If i use an curve array on a circle i get this kind of results
But i'd rather get something like that (roughly made in photoshop)
Is it possible to constrain and deform a crv geometrically as i would like to do here?
Thank you very much

well, it seems that to use mapsurface, you need two curves, to map a geometry inside the area of those two curves.
My goal is to map my geometry into the two lines of crosses
Ok,
i think i got it.
The problem came from the fact that i couldnt use the loft as it was.
Using loft option, and choosing rebuild, help the curve to accept division.
thx
This looks pretty cool, David Stasiuk, but you didn't internalize your 'Crv' inputs so the file generates nothing... :(
Note: Dan, on Monday, David Rutten said this:
If you want to know more, upload your original curves.
Hey
I think you didnt saw them, they are in my former reply!
Hey,
True, bend is a bit tricky to control.
Here are my geometry. Thanks for ur help!
Also, it doesnt work the same if i set an existing circle in rhino as crv in grasshopper and if i create a circle from grasshopper.

Ah, ok, sorry. Thank you David Stasiuk, your solution is GREAT!
I am trying to do something similar.
attached in the image I am trying to take an arched solid/geometry and bend or twist it around the spiral loop curve. how would i do this
dumb question - how did you generate the original pattern?
Just a wild guess but I think you'll need a spiral surface to use this mapping technique?
THANKS JOSEPH I WILL SEE IF I CAN USE THIS.
I am trying to get the red circular object to bend evenly on the spiral.
what would you suggest
