algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello everyone,
Im new in grasshopper, I guess my question may be something simple to solve but I havent figured it out yet.
What I need to do is to create, once I have one initial point, a second point which follow the condition of being on a range from 500m to 1000m.
At the same time, I need to have the condition that when the initial point is moved, the sencond point will move as well following the previous condition I already mentioned.
I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks a lot,
Maria :)

Or you want fate to decide the direction amplitude?
Peter, Incredible, Thank you very much!!! That's what I need.
May I ask you another question, what if I need to do this for multiple points? from this initial have multiple points with this defined distances? To then have the opportunity to chose one of them ?
Is it possible?
Thanks a lot again!
Maria
Incredible ... er ... not: this is rather simple. For incredible things you must describe them step by step and then ... chances are that they would become reality, he he.
Back to business > for the multiple case:
1. Describe explicitly what you want in steps (like talking to a robot). For instance: multiple points out of what? (random, defined otherwise etc etc). Choose by what means/criteria? (by index in a given List, by other way etc etc). That sort of robot-talking, he he. Or you mean that you want to "move" a collection of points using a vector? (Pah ... can't be that simple). BTW: what you want to do AFTER?
2. Have faith
For instance this - a bit out of the blue - attached def (still very simple) works with a points DataTree (in 3 modes: steady, per Branch and per Item). Of course Move does the same ... but the main thingy here is to understand what happens if you add a vector to a point (LOL stuff, he he).
BTW: Do you know what a DataTree is?
