Create a loft between to square polylines

Do you need to loft them?

Would it be enough to use (Surface tab, freeform panel) "Boundary Surfaces"?

(But lofting them actually works for me)

Thanks for your reply but I am not able to loft between these two squares.

one square is an offset and the other is an offset of the first offset when joining together in a loft nothing happened!

Do I miss something?
