This is cool. Can this be done without scripting? Is there any plugins for grasshopper that do this already. I can make the basic parabolas with points and lines, but how can the lines become ribbon like? Kangaroo?

Thats a bunch of tapes doing various twists and folds at different positions along the way. Should be possible but will be a lot of work, I guess. You could just fake soemething similar by connecting points on the edges of columns with the impact points on the wall. Then connect the column points around the column.

To make a line a ribbon, you need to define a rotation and width. Don't need Kangaroo for that.

how to filter the tapes with 3 or 4 connections points to the column was driving me around in my head. So i made a quick dry...and it works :-)

makes fun to play with the defention, maybe it helps

So cool. Thanks Dedakelzucht. This really helps allot. I think i can figure out the rest now. Im going to see if i can map or loft a surface that twists along the lines now. This is really helpful thanks again.
