algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I want to create a 'tree'-like column and subsequently generate planar surfaces of the hexagonal design so that we can construct it. I did attempt to create an algorithm using Kangaroo and LunchBox. I am unable to create the hexagonal surfaces to be planar. Could anyone help me out with this algorithm or another approach to achieve this?

Thanks in advance,

Tania

P.S: I am fairly novice in the field of Kangaroo :)

P.PS: The algorithm I have created in GH is not EXACTLY like the image. Although anyone who can create something more similar to the image, I'd be highly grateful!!

Hi, anyone could help me with this pls!

It is possible that you may not be able to create the form using such a small number of hexagons and be planar. That said, you might want to look at what Daniel Piker has come up with a wonderful 'planarization' method, using Kangaroo, of which you will find examples on this forum.
