algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi!
I've searched the forum but haven't found a way to convert a plankton.mesh (outputted by MeshMachine) into normal mesh. I worked around that using DeconstructPlankton and Delaunay but it feels silly - there must be a direct way to do this. Unfortunately my programming skills are very basic (I just started learning Python) so I can't really write a component by myself.
Any suggestions?

Hi Maciej,
Do you have the Plankton parameter component showing up correctly?:
You can connect the Plankton parameter component to a mesh parameter component in order to bake or further process it as a standard mesh.
This parameter and data type was a recent addition to Plankton by Will Pearson, and is only in the latest build of Plankton that I posted with MeshMachine - it won't show up if you have only the version currently on the Plankton group page.
Full credit is due here to Giulio Piacentino, whose example of this data type/parameter implementation with Turtle made this possible.
Daniel,
I downloaded the version from post you mentioned ( http://www.grasshopper3d.com/profiles/blog/show?id=2985220%3ABlogPo... ), but now meshmachine and other plankton components disappeared all together... GH throws an error saying (sorry for Polish parts):
Object: MeshMachineComponent (level 1)
{
Obiekt docelowy wywołania zgłosił wyjątek.
TargetInvocationException
}
Object: MeshMachineComponent (level 2)
{
Nie można załadować pliku lub zestawu 'Plankton, Version=0.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' lub jednej z jego zależności. Nie można odnaleźć określonego pliku.
FileNotFoundException
}
Are all 3 files definitely unblocked, and you restarted rhino?
Daniel!
Everything works! I didn;t unblock the files properly! Thanks!
I wanted to ask you something else though... I found some of your script on the forum, namely the remeshing ones, and one of them had an option to set a fixed amount of iterations in simulation. Does Kangaroo (or Meshmachine) has this option? Is in possible? I use this components in a pretty big pipeline and the fixed-iteration would be perfect.
Great.
About performing a fixed number of iterations - not yet, but this is something I can add for the next release.
