algorithmic modeling for Rhino
hi, i've got a probbably pretty stupid but still important question:
i got this diamond grid in which i want to fit a nurbs curve; the grids vertices are the control points.
creating the curve is no problem but i can't get to the control points...
no matter what i feed into the "weight"- or "knot"- slot the curve doesn't appear & the component-button turns red!
i just want the nurbs curve to get closer to the grid's vertices...same as with rhino's "edit control point weight"
does someone have an idea?
thanx,
marta

Hi Marta, is this what you want?
Pieter,
How did you determine the values for the knot vector? I played around with this question but couldn't figure out what to use for the knot vector.
Chris
Hi Chris, I believe the best discription would be reverse engineering: I created the curve in Rhino and used the Control Points comp on it.
Btw, as far as I know the list could also be simply 0 to 12... There is actually a comp to create the Knot Vectors in the Spline tab that will put out the latter.
