Control pattern

Hi, I need to make some sort of cover with a diamond pattern, if anyone has any definition to study since I am a beginner, I would like that the patron had the same proportion throughout the geometry. Thank you :)

If LunchBox was testing with just adding the diamond pattern on the curved surface that is deformed, rhomboid not want to lose their original proportions: S
