Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am new to grasshopper so only have a basic understanding of things.

I want to create a cone that follows the line I created. Essentially, the base of the cone is the start point of the line and the tip SHOULD be the end of the line (similar to how a pipe is generated around a curve).

I cannot figure out how to orient/construct the cone in the direction of the line I've created.

The first image is the part of my script related to the cone.

The second shows the lines (the direction i want the cones to go) and the existing cones.

Hi there!

Perhaps the BOX MORPH component might suit your task here. This will allow the bases of your cones to connect fully on your surface. See image:

If you don't want to use BOX MORPH, maybe using the ORIENT component will help. However, the base circles won't be projected onto your surface. See image:

I hope this helps.

Check this as well.

Thanks so much! Exactly what I needed.
