Connecting points from two lists with a specific pattern

Hello! i am a beginner with grasshopper and i am trying to connect some points with a specific rule. You can see what i want to achieve in the picture below.

I have tried a pattern of true false false true , but it doesn't work because it connects

0-0 and 0-3 and then it continues by connecting 1-4. whereas i want 1-2.

For now i continued my project by using list items. but what if i want to have more points? i have to do it every time manually. 

any ideas?

Hi Alicia,

Just spotted that one.

I could do it with far more "elaborated" ways (rel-items and the likes) and ...er ... with just one thingy that is not a "component" (via C# code, that is) but I have a feeling that this is the most suitable (and "explicit") way for you.

And the trad V2 update: added 2 more ways (and a demo on the mask syntax: gather some grid pts and have fun):

Plan B is the most elegant using components.

Plan C# is ... er ... hmm ...the most elegant.
