Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I'm somewhat new to Grasshopper so I was wondering if you could help me with a problem that will save me a lot of time if resolved. Thanks!

I've got a point cloud and I want to connect the points in a specific pattern to create a wire-frame of a lattice structure. An example of one is below for diagrammatic purposes. The actual model is much more complex.

Using the Delaunay Edges command box and connecting a Pt command box with the points selected creates the connections. However Grasshopper connects the points randomly which can be seen in the 2nd photo at the bottom. After baking this I have to manually change the lines to what I want as seen in the first photo. Is there a way to tell

Grasshopper to connect the point cloud with lines running in a specific direction seen in the first photo? If there is it would save me a lot of time fixing the lines after I bake it.

Thanks a lot!

This plugin Crow i think will help you .

U want to model something like that ??? or u want to map grid to given points ??? Because u can use kangaroo to shrink a triangular grid to create something like that.Kangaroo Triangular Grid. Fixed length/shrink/ Morph.

Yes I want to map a grid to given points with diagonal lines connecting them in the same direction along the grid as seen in the 1st photo above. So Kangaroo would be the best way to do that?

Hi thanks for replying, I thought lunchbox would be a good way to do it but I'm not sure how to create a pattern out of lines from a point cloud. From the way I tried I can only create panels from a surface.

Thanks so much, it looks like it will work but I'm very new to this sort of stuff. How do I set it to my set of points? Thanks!
