algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I´m trying to connect two surfaces smoothly as illustrated in the attached figure. There is a component to connect two lines smothly, by using "interpolate (Intcrv)", I was wondering if there are something similar to that for surfaces or if anybody know how to do this.. Plz help !

But as I said from the very beginning ... the thing here is that you don't have one surface.
Patch on the other hand could yield (with a bit of good luck) a trimmed surface. But then you don't need all that stuff (as I also said from the very beginning). I mean you need a "base" closed curve plus some other (deployed in Z) curves that could cause the 3d curvy shape.
That said the curvature (Gaussian, Mean or whatever) thingy here is a 1000% academic puzzle: what could be the difference if you could do it? Does this address the main issue? (make some kind of truss plus engineer the skin, that is). Not even in a million years. Except if you have plans to cover this with shiny metal panels and circle around via a helicopter.
hmm, that's also right..
oh, don't go all technical on me he he.. The pupose was to indicate how the surface changes from being a positive- to negative curvature (and positive again). So the script you made is very helpfull, thanks for that!! but just a bit difficult to understand the process fully :/
At that delicate point ... er ... hmm... I would suggest another route (to greatness):
Patch this with that ... what else? (Load Rhino file fist). Get rid of the tyranny of "tight" things/trim this with that/polysurfaces/rabbit holes/etc etc > shape liquid stuff > and then ... er ... the "engulfing" truss (flat of with thickness) is another animal (but have faith).
It's only a line or two that could been added in order to patch things (points included - if desired) and NOT making the holes (as it is: it works mostly for preparing tensile membrane stuff for Kangaroo).
