Confirming the right HGT file

Hi Timothy,

I need your advice on how can I confirm which topography is right for the selected area.

I received multiple .HGT files on http://www.viewfinderpanoramas.org/Coverage%20map%20viewfinderpanor... 

Whenever i select a different HGT file, the topography changes..

Could you please advice me on how can i confirm the right HGT file for my site.

Please let me know if you need any files for your perusal.
