algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

what i have here is a total of 124 diagrid panels which i would like them to be concave towards the centre. Is there any component or series of components to achieve the effect?

I've attached the file below. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, the approach that came to my head ended up using a few additional plugins for GH.  It went together pretty quickly, but it's a bit heavy in the processing department. 

I think that geometry gym actually has a mesh inflate component, but I'm not entirely familiar with it.  The attached example uses a similar "inflate" approach.  It seems to work fine, but I would imagine it might slow down with a large number of panels.

There are a bunch of ways to do a diagrid, but I really like paneling tools these days.  Essentially the logic is:

1-panel the surface with a diagrid

2-Grab resulting mesh panels and restructure them as higher resolution meshes.

3-get the normals of each panel then use kangaroo to relax/inflate each mesh panel.

I made a few notes in the definition to try to explain a bit more.

Hi, thanks for providing me with a solution. it looks great!

I am currently working on SR9 rhino 4.0 and i cant find the paneling component for the gh. Found the rhino 4.0 panelingtools though. meshedit doesnt seem to work for Rhino 4.0 as well. 

I will try to work it out with the software lol.
