algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello,
I'm sure this is something stupid but I have a copy of Rhino 5 64 bit and have just recently installed Grasshopper. The installation was fine but now when I'm in grasshopper, my components aren't displayed correctly and if I zoom in they completely disappear? I've never had this problem before but it's making things impossible and I have a deadline. Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Is there anything printed to the Rhino command line about errors in the display?

No there doesn't appear to be any error messages. Do you think it's maybe some conflict with the graphics card?
It's very unlikely to have anything to do with the graphics card. Grasshopper uses GDI+ to draw the canvas which is not hardware accelerated.
I'd like very much to see what's going on, if you have Skype perhaps we can schedule a screenshare. Email me for details at david@mcneel.com

I may have figured it out, because I had the same problem.
If you open up grasshopper and middle click on the work space, then select the cog [settings] icon and then choose Fonts. My "Standard Font" read "Blank" and I selected a font and it worked. Any font seems to work.
Hi! I am having the same problem since I installed a component to change the canvas colours. Since then, I cannot zoom in the canvas anymore. When I get closer, the components simply disappear. Have you found a solution?
Thanks!
Straightaway, let me indicate that my experience is not exactly the same as yours; just similar. I think.
Suddenly, just a few minutes ago, all of the components on my Grasshopper canvas were no longer visible when I returned to Grasshopper from another application. Zooming did not help.
What I did was, I selected all the items on the canvas with Ctrl+A, opened a new Grasshopper file and pasted everything with Ctrl+V.
The components all showed up in the top left-hand corner of the canvas.
Thereafter, I saved the new file as the other file and that was that.
I hope this gives you any sort of guidance or help.
Welcome to
Grasshopper
