Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, I am a basic level user of Grasshopper.I have experiencing a problem of the SubSrf Component.Interesting, the SubSrf component behaves differently when the Surface created in Grasshopper from imported from Rhino. The Grasshopper surface is not divided evenly and the Rhino surface is divided evenly. Could anyone help me and tell me why?

The Rhino surface is not created the same way as the GH surface.

The attached Rhino file contains a lofted surface build the same way as you do in GH: lofting between the two border circles. Feed this into the subD and you get the same spacing.

You can get the same result as your original Rhino surface in GH by selecting the "straight" option in the loft options.

Thank you so much,I have try extrude surface in GH,still not get the same spacing, then I try sweeping to get the surface in GH then I got the same space.Thank you. But,I want to learn more, could you let me know why different surface building, make the SubSrf component behave differently ?

Hey,

I do not get it! Straight is not working and why is the Centerpoint not 0;0;0 in the gh version after the loft/cap?

But for sure your Rhino geometry version is not the same as the gh geometry. even if the difference are extrem small (for example the gh area is 0,00002 mm2 bigger)
