Component Exception when using EvalSrf

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get the surface normal of an extrusion.

However, the 'Evaluate Surface' component throws an error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

The same happens when I clean the tree from null items.

I never had this happen before. Does anybody know what causes this?

Because your Curves are Polylines, the results of extrusion are mostly Open Breps (not Surfaces)..

So, in casting from Brep to Surface, there must be exceptioins..

Because your Curves are all planar.. you need only one normal vector for each Brep..

I suggest two alternatives for your purpose.. check the attached.. (Explode or Rebuild)

Thank you so much! I must have kinda blanked when I thought rebuilding would not work. Not seeing the forrest for the trees…
