Component colorization by input value

I know this has been discussed/asked around about before, but it seems like it's never been fully answered.. Or i might just be blind.

Is it possbile to change the color of a text panel by input value?
Ex. False=red / True=green


If yes, then how?
Just need a shove in the correct direction, even though it might entail a bit of programming.

"Metahopper" plug-in has a relavant feature(Set panel Properties).
