Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all,

I've put together a little basic toolkit in GH python in the form of GHuser objects. This is my first hand at this and a very basic python code. The toolkit is licensed under creative commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 unported, in the hopes that everyone can add to this toolkit.

This is very much a work in progress and you need the latest Rhino 5 service release  to use the toolkit and Gh 9.0014 or greater.

Toolkit includes:

+ UnrollSurface

+ Silhouette

+ DupEdges

+ Mesh to Nurbs

Installation

Included in the .zip file you will find the ghuser objects to be installed and an example .ghx file

You can place the user objects by opening Grasshopper and opening the menu

File > Special Folders > User Object Folder

You can than extract the .ghuser files into this folder, restart rhino/grasshopper and the toolbar should appear.

Thanks and I hope you will all benefit from this!

Good job Jon! Congratulations... :)

Big thanks to you Mostapha for showing how to compile all of this!

Hi Jonathon, I have just come across this post.

I am looking to do a similar thing to what you have created here - create some simple GHpython components that I can share with others. I am wondering if you could help me out by letting me know how you got the toolbar and GHPython user objects to appear when you import into the user object folder. I have watched Mostaphas videos on developing ladybug but still cant seem to get it to work properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Nathan
