Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

when I am applying a color gradient to meshfaces, it always seems to create a blend between adjacent faces, which kind of looks wired (see attached)

Is there a way to get it to stop doing this and have clearly definied colors per face?
Otherwise could I create an array of flat surfaces and color these?

thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

colours are assigned to mesh vertices, not faces. If you want to colour individual faces then you need to unweld them all. There's nothing in Grasshopper that automatically does this, though I think several 3rd party component libraries provide tools for this.
