Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, I have started a simulation of a basic inflating mesh and I would like to make it collide with a surface or a solid, but I can't seem to understand the collision tool very well.

Could anyone help me with the attached definition?

Hi Maria,

Have you looked into the Shrinkwrap attempts?

Could you post a print screen of your definition?

Best,

Arthur

Here is a print screen of what I am trying to do. Looking to the other collision examples, it seems that I need to add a PowerLaw component to the definition

There's nothing wrong with your original definition.

You just need to make sure that the input to CollideSurf is a solid / closed Brep.

Just a surface will not work - it needs to have an inside and an outside.

No need for any PLaw components.

It works very well now that I have inserted a brep instead. Thank you for the help!
