algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys,

A problem I bump into frequently is how to apply a definition on a collection of multiple curves but in a way that each curve is independent.

Logycally, the definition works for one curve , but when it´s a collection of curves the definition cross every reference and the each curve is linked to the other.

I don´t think I am being very clear here..:(

Thank you for your help, if anyone get it.

I would suggest to use graft, but it really depends on what you are doing with the curves.

Can't help much without an example.

Indeed GRAFT does perfectly the Job in my case

thank you very much

If you introduce flatten into a definition then you will most likely render it unfit for multiple instances.

Where you would normally want to flatten an input to match another data set try and graft the other one instead. Sometimes you will need to match both data structure and data paths inorder to make it work in these cases a combination of param viewer and replace branches are what's needed.

Without sounding like a broken recorded, if you post an example of the files or a screen shot of one particular area then it might be useful to help.

Yes , sorry...

Here is an example of contour with 3 curves.

How can I proceed to make the contour happens for each curves with the orientation of each curve and not all of them.

Thank you

Thank you for your answers that work well for this example ,

In another job I am doing (add windows to a facade), the process doesn´t work for several facades.I think it´s  because I use the fonction "test a point for brep inclusion" and it seems to limit the inclusion to the first facade.

Thank you for having a look

I finally figure it out myself with tha Pathfinder.

Here is the complete job.

By the way where can I post some of my work to share it with everybody?
