algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys, I'm trying to close a polyline which works in a "clockwork" like fashion, closing a simple polygon. Is th My points are coming from a list which is not sorted according to the connection logic. I was wondering if there is a straight forward solution for this. Perhaps it needs a loop . Thanks as always

The classic way:

1. Define a plane out of the chaotic pts (Plane Fit)

2. Define a Sphere out of the chaotic pts (Sphere Fit)

3. Intersect 1 with 2.

4. Sort chaos along curve from 3.

PS: it works ... but not in all occasions (topology wise).

It doesn;t seem to work.. I should say, my polygons are non planar and rotated in space. is ther a component or script for this? it seems like a common task but I couldn't find anyhting on the posts..

Well ... as I said not all the routes point to Paradise.

Moral: Karma

thanks alot Peter, I wasn't aware of the  sort along curve command..it really helped

may the force be with you.

Well ... Concave hull (not convex) is another way ... but since that's internal (sorry) get the LOL sort for assured LOL results - ISO9000 certified.

PS: There's another less LOL option as well available.

May the Force (the Dark option) ... blah, blah.

best

Er ... hmm ... this is primarily a  LOL thingy yielding LOL things meaning that it's only for (LOL) fun. Other cases available as well (SLOL, FOCL, DOCL etc etc).
