algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Recently my Rhino viewport started displaying lines & curves somewhat "unclean".  They used to be very clean lines, now they look jagged and overlapped.  I'm not sure exactly when this started but it seems to be around the same time as the 9.0064 GH release; although this could be some other problem as just drawing a line in Rhino also exhibits the problem.

Any ideas what might be causing this?  Is there a GH or Rhino setting?

Are you talking about anti-aliasing?

Could be... maybe that's the setting I need to change to get back to a "clean" line.  (my bad on the terminology.)  I'm looking in Rhino now to see if I can find the setting...

Turns out that it isn't the anti-aliasing that is causing the jagged lines.  It's the AMD HD6700 display driver.  I have a dual display card system - one an Intel and one an AMD.  If the AMD is the one used for drawings then I get the jagged line rendering.  The Intel display card works fine.

When you switch graphic cards, make sure the AntiAliasing option in the Rhino Options are set to something other than "none". If antialiasing is enabled in Rhino, make sure the driver doesn't override this setting (See Speed/Quality Settings in CatalystControlCenter).

Thanks for the tip, Hannes.  I'll take a look at my Catalyst settings.  I did have antialiasing turned on in Rhino and tried none, 2x, and 4x but it did not resolve the problem.  So now I need to check out Catalyst settings -- but first I need to reinstall because I uninstalled Catalyst and disabled the video card so that I could work.

Just out of curiosity...

In my experience for Desktop, you can change the primary display adapter by either plugging the monitor into the corresponding jack or by modifying the BIOS settings.

For a laptop computer with a dedicated card, you should be able do activate/deactivate the accelereated card via BIOS or with the cards' control panel. For my rig, I needed to add Rhino to the "use GPU" apps of the card.
