Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I need to put circles (curves) projected onto triangle (surface). Similar to the sketch attached). The circles need to be touching each other as well as the edge of the triangle.

Since there's only one way to stack circles so that they touch all 6 neighbouring circles, why not just start with a hexagonal grid, put circles on the vertices and then scale them to fit your triangle?

David,

Thanks...

I have one more question. I tried applying it to triangles that I have already but could not figure out how to do it...

If you could look at my grasshopper file and maybe help me out that would be great. I appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Ryan

Heres the updated file

It's only an equilateral triangle that can be densely packed by David's definition or at all.  If your triangles are not equilateral then you will not meet your original conditions (that all of the adjacent circles touch each other and the boundary).
