Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

i am trying to put together a definition that creates a series of circles on a surface that are attracted to a point in space i.e. a solar definition.

the circles need to be intersected with the surface too, basically i am trying to create a series of apertures that react in sizefrom the centre point of each subdivided surface to solar orientation( i have the necessary definitions for that) i am just struggling with this bit.

any help would be greatly appreciated, i have attached my grasshopper and rhino definitions.

i have made a slight advancement on this but am struggling with the attraction part still, i have attached my ghx in the hope someone can shed some light on this.

all i require now is the aperture size to be affected by a point attractor.

thanks in advance

sorry just to add, i think its a case of the D input on the offset, which is currently controlling the size of the aperture, being controlled by a point in space in relation to its centre point.

right ive finally got somewhere, i can achieve what im after on a flat plane but not on a curved plane, ive attached my definition for a flat plane for anyone thats interested.

and the WIP definition for a curved plane. where im stuck is offset the uv plane and creating the aperture and lofting it with the exploded polyline boundary of each subdivided box.
