Change viewports in rhino

Hello everyone,

Have anybody an idea how i can change viewports from grasshopper in rhino?

I can change it from 4 viewports to three viewports. But i want only two Viewports.

I want handle this with a VB component.

Is that possible. I need your help, please.

Easiest is to save a 3dm file that has the viewport layout you want and then use the ReadViewportsFromFile command. Will that work for you?

Ok thats a good idea. How can i load this file from Grasshopper? I cant find it.

The only way to do that from Grasshopper is to run the command

"_ReadViewportFromFile "C:\somefolder\someotherfolder\thirdfolder\viewtemplate.3dm""

You can run commands using VB, C# and Python components, and I think one Grasshopper plugin allows you to run strings as Rhino commands, but I don't know which one...

I attached a VB script which runs strings as Rhino commands.

Ok thats Intresting, on my version from Rhino it is only a german trial version and the newest grasshopper version, it works with the command. But on the version in my office official version it dosen't work. strange. Has enybody an idea?
