algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to compare two lists of identical values but with different item indexes.  The "Good List" has the correct order of the items.  The "Bad List" needs the items reordered and the new indexes (or changes to the indexes) reported.  I need this new "reordered" index list to modify a list of values down-stream.

Hi Mark,

Is this what you want?

Ethan,

The trick is I need a list of how the values were re-ordered (The index numbers).

I found "Find Similar Member" which almost works.  The problem now is that because I have duplicate values I'm getting duplicate indexes instead of a unique index for each value.  I've started to use a series of sequences to try to increase the value (Index numbers) but I'm getting stuck again.  Seems like there has to be an easier way.

Thanks for the help.

Is this any better? I multiplied each number by a unique factor to also render it unique. Since you're working with points this should be OK.

Ethan,

Your response helped simplify the problem and thus I was able to get the result I needed. Here's a solution to the problem.

Thanks so much for your help.
