Change current Rhino view to NamedView from Grasshopper

Hi All,

I'm trying to run a series of luminance sections out of DIVA for Grasshopper, and in order to do this I need to activate named views from Grasshopper. I attempted to do this using a simple python script within Grasshopper (rs.RestoreNamedView), however I receive an error "this type of object is not supported in Grasshopper".

Any ideas?

The latest version of Human can do this. Just supply the name of the named view in question to the "Modify Viewport" component.

Thanks for the reply Andrew. I was trying to find a way to avoid additional plug-ins for easier sharing across computers (although what another drag and drop plug-in if you've installed DIVA?)

In the end I was able to make the Python script work.

I took a look at Human (clever name), and it has some really great features! I'll be installing it on my machine at least.

Hi Weston - Andrew,
I decided it was a nice funtionality, and (then finally) came up with this (but didn't get around to post it untill now):
not aware of the Human-component (and its context menu (animated!))...~ Ah well, at least mine occupies less canvas space ;)

Also, now i'd like to learn how to save each iterations' screencapture as an image...
