algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Is it possible to chamfer points in Grasshopper? That is extrude the point outwards to form a circular face. How else can you choose a group of points and then create a circular face of a certain radius? Then you would extrude these down and collapse them to create a buttoned, quilted pattern in a sofa or cushion.

Circle[..] components provide various ways to define a circle around a point.
PlanarSrf creates a planar surface from a/multiple curve(s)
Extrude extrudes curves or surface boundaries
BRepJoin joins a couple of BReps/Surfaces.
Hi Brent,
I'm afraid I don't follow. When I think of "chamfer" in the context of Rhino, I think of adding small line segments to sharp corners in curve kinks. Just like fillets, except using lines instead of arcs. That doesn't seem to involve any outward extrusions to form circular faces. Do you have a picture of what it is you're after?

How about a different approach.
Create a Sphere at the location you want your "Button" and then ScaleNU to flatten it into the desired shape. I'll post an example in a minute.
