Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm working with points on a grid and I measure the distance from each of those points to a single point. The list contains 300+ values with a range of 0 to max. I'm trying to build circles at each point but the radius of the circles needs to be 1-8 inches. I'd like to set it up so values from 0 to x = 1, x to y = 2, y to z = 3, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

I'm not quite sure how your grid is supposed to be defined, I used a simpler method to generate the base grid:

You can map smooth values to a disjoint collection of presets using the [Find Domain] component. [Consecutive Domains] is a great help for turning lists of numbers into domains.

Hi David,

Looks great. How would you go about doing this if one point had a higher value than another point and you wanted an attractor to be stronger than another.

I have a point grid with points 17 random points in that grid with different values and I wanted to give the grid values depending on not how far away it was from that point exactly, but what value would it be considering of the values of the random points?

Thanks,

Tom
