algorithmic modeling for Rhino

cannot resolve geometry at surface junction

I am currently trying to create a series of flaps along a surface & in order to get the angle/shape i wanted have set up a shift-list selection that allows me to manipulate this freely. However, at the 'seam' of the surface, it all starts to bunch up and go horribly wrong. Is there a way to resolve this? Many thanks in advance
