Can't run solver unless its a box domain...

So as stated in the title when the boundary domain is a box the solver runs fine but unless this is the case any other domain fails... i am being careful with my units and also tried different resolutions and isovalues as well as every other input. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong? this is a simple example i am trying before jumping to more complex boundary shapes. thank you in advance.
