algorithmic modeling for Rhino

can one make custom components using Grasshopper?

Hi !

 

I'm basically looking to make clusters that:

 

- can get custom icons

- can be accessed from the toolbar

- can get custom messages when one hovers over the hooks

- can get a custom description when clicking on them

- can get a help file

 

Or oterwise said, i would like to build components using Grasshopper.

 

Is any of this possible at the moment?

Is File - Create User Object what you want?

Most of what you're describing is already possible through clusters. Point is you need to save the clusters as Frans described. While doing that you can add text and so on in order to help you figure out later what you did previously.

thanks! didn't know about user components.

it does lack the custom message on hook hovering and custom help file, but it's still a good thing you mentioned it
