algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I read some documents saying that I could customize my own material in the Material library of karamba. Does any one know how? I would like to add material like wool felt / wool block into the library. It would be great if anyone know how can I read the material library file and possibly add/edit the data in the file.
Thank you very much.

Hi Jamparc,
I opened the [Material properties] in the document file, do you know how to read the script in the [Material properties.csv] file? Material properties in the default menu does not have the material I want.
There are some command I don't understand inside the csv file, just wonder if you know how to read time and edit them?
e.g. for the data of concret :
#;;;;;;;;
#;;;E;G;gamma;alphaT;fcd;my
#;family;name;[kN/cm2];[kN/cm2];[kN/m3];[m/(mC°)];[kN/cm2];[-]

DO you know what does [#;;;E;G;gamma;alphaT;fcd;my] stand for? what is E? G? gamma? alphaT? fcd? my? I know I need to find the according data for my specific material but I am not sure what they mean.
Thank you very much
Hi viv wong,
1. If you want to apply new material, first you should input the properties of material to create.
2. Each cells in CSV file is separated by semicolon(" ; "). In Excel, go to "Data" tab and import(or open) that .csv as "Text". And then you can choose semicolon as separator.
3. You can get the explanation of all input from [Material Properties] component. I'll write down below.
E (Number) Young's Modulus [kN/cm2] of the material.
G (Number) Shear Modulus [kN/cm2] of the material.
gamma (Number) Specific weight [kN/m3] of material.
alphaT (Number) Coefficient of thermal expansion [1/C°] of the material.
fy (Number) Yield strength [kN/cm2] of the material.
Name (Text) Name of the material.
Best,
