algorithmic modeling for Rhino

calculating floor area of parametric design

hi guys 

i want to do a rough calculation of floor area of my model, so wondering which solution can help me, for instance if i use color gradient or any way to define volumes with same height in one layer in order to bake into different layers and isolate in rhino ?attached is my script and rhino scaled%20patern.rarscaledpattern01.gh
