Cairo Pentagonal Tiling and 3D

Hi there,

I am trying to make a Cairo Pentagonal Tiling model. I have drawn the pattern, but I am not sure why the outcome is different (attached .gh). Also, I was thinking to make triangulation mesh like (the glass shown in the photo) but how can I cull different pattern onto the tiles?

to get a closed curve, you need to split the lines where they intersect each other, using shatterintersection, then group each line into the 'cell' that you wish to join. Do this before you join lines. After joining, then you can test for closed/open cell

Thank you for your advice but it didn't work in my case, or I did it wrong? I place the shatter after both pline I want to join and before the join cell, but it didn't work.

Actually, perhaps I gave you bad advice. After toying with it last night, I used the intersection point of two lines to regenerate lines, that seemed to be easier.
