algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I just came across this issue and I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something.
After updating honeybee components to 0.0.57, when I try to run a glare simulation the "Honeybee Run Daylight Simulation component" displays an error traced back to the batch file that deals with an attempt to divide by zero.
The following is displayed in the ReadME! output:
Image-based simulation
Current working directory is set to: C:\Users\mauricio\AppData\Roaming\Ladybug\London_Glare_glRatio_0.4Tvis_0.817\imageBasedSimulation\
Runtime error (DivideByZeroException): Attempted to divide by zero.
Traceback:
line 1764, in writeBatchFiles, "<string>"
line 182, in main, "<string>"
line 231, in script
After a little connecting/disconnecting components I traced back the error to the 'hour' parameter in the sky file generator. I couldn't figure out why this happens or how to fix it. I tried using both int and floats for input but it didn't work.
I ended up importing the same "Run Daylight Sim component' but of the older version, 0.0.56, and everything runs perfectly as before.
Also, I cant get the false color image renderer component to work properly. Once the image has been generated it apparently contains parsing errors. Perhaps this is specific to Windows 8.1???
I'll try to do some digging during the weekend and I'll post updates.

Hi Mauricio,
Thanks. The first issue was my bad! It is fixed now. Update the component again and it should work fine.
I can't replicate the second issue. If you can please update a file that I can check. There has been no changes to the component since the last release.

PS: Please send your questions related to Ladybug and Honeybee to the group (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/ladybug)
Mostapha,
Thanks for the prompt response. The Daylight Sim component runs smooth now.
I have noticed however that when I let honeybee fly, the 'honeybee-honeybee' component shows a runtime warning (incompatibility with Energy Plus) this is weird because everything runs fine despite the warning.
I'll post my issue with the false color in a new thread in the group.
Thank you again. All the best,
Mauricio
Hi Mauricio,
Good to know daylighting issue is solved.
Can you connect a panel to the output of Honeybee_honeybee component and send a screenshot from the error. Do you have EnergyPlus installed? and is it installed in the default folder?
Mostapha
Hi Mostapha,
When I sent this message the energy sim still ran properly. I'm now having trouble with that as I posted in the other thread.
Im about to reboot everything because perhaps the updating process is not completed until I poweroff-on.
The false color is also resolver, was a permissions error.
Energy plus is installed in the default folder.
thanks for everything.

Thanks. It just gives you the warning which means it couldn't find EnergyPlus on your system. What is the version of Energyplus installed on your system? and what is the folder?
Yes the warning is weird. I have energy plus V8-1-0. Its directly installed in C:
...C:\EnergyPlusV8-1-0
Even weirder... Energy sim was working a while ago and now i'm getting :
Runtime error (TypeErrorException): unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'str' and 'NoneType'
Traceback:
line 1206, in writeBatchFile, "<string>"
line 2022, in main, "<string>"
line 2040, in script
I'm thinking of performing a complete unistall of honeybee and ladybug to try and see if that fixes the issues.
Any suggestions?
