Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have made a perforated screen in grasshopper and would like to bring it into Revit to apply to my building.  Is this possible?

Hi Laura.

You can export your Grasshopper geometry as .ifc file format, and import it into Revit. All this using Geometry Gym. Here are the installation instructions:

And here is an example of the process of exporting from Grasshopper and importing into Revit:

Hi Laura,

There are a few different options to exchange data. A lot depends on what you want to exchange and post import requirements (editing, scheduling etc).

It might be acceptable to simply bake the generated object and save as dwg from Rhino and importing into Revit.

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/gh-revit outlines a few developments for GH to Revit, including mine (as Djordje has advised). If you can share (publicly or privately) the object or GH def it will make it easier for advising on best option.

Cheers,

Jon
